It's disheartening to see how many students these days have absolutely zero school pride. They don't feel about their school, they don't get involved in activities, and they just seem indifferent. It's like they've disregarded what it means to be part of a team and cheer for their fellow students. This lack of passion is detrimental to the entire school atmosphere.

Not My Alma Mater
When I see the words "alma mater|my old school|the place where I learned}", it doesn't spark feelings of warmth and nostalgia. For me, it's a unfamiliar concept. Maybe because my years there were not like others, or perhaps I simply haven't had the time to reflect. Whatever the reason, that phrase doesn't carry the same significance for me as it does for others.
It's not that I haven't appreciated my time at school. It was a valuable chapter, just not one that sticks with me in the way many people describe.

Seriously, school/the whole idea of/that thing they call "school spirit/spirit week/pep rallies" is about as appealing/relevant/interesting to me as a moldy sandwich/root canal/trip to the dentist. I'd rather be practicing my guitar/reading a good book/taking a nap than wearing my school colors and chanting slogans. I value knowledge, not glorified cheering.

Craving That Deliciousness
Let's be real, sometimes gathering/ chilling/hanging out with people/ friends/squad is all about the spread/ feast/ bounty! I mean, who can resist a good platter/ selection/ assortment of tasty treats/ goodies/ munchies? It's like a buffet/ an oasis/ the promised land of deliciousness/ yumminess/ pure snacking heaven. Give me pizza rolls any day! I totally prioritize/live for/am here for those snacks/ goodies/ bites that make a gathering/ hangout/ party truly unforgettable.
